The project entails the demolition of existing outdated buildings and the construction of new general teaching facilities and landscaping of the grounds.
The proposed new general teaching facility will house classrooms, auditorium, kitchen, refectory, reception, IT suites, library, adminstrative facilities and toilets.
The mechanical services consist of a ground source heat pump system providing heating via underfloor and radiator circuits. The hot water is via a central gas fired heater producing hot water to the basins, science classroom appliances, kitchen appliances and cleaner sinks.
The classroom IT suites and Art Studio's are to be naturally ventilated with a stack ventilation system.
The refurbished Creative Arts Building mechanical services consist of the heating and domestic services being renewed and balanced in accordance with the new layout.
The project also includes the construction of a new multi-purpose sports hall with associated changing facilities, gymnasium, dance studio, classrooms and administration offices.
