Chris Smart

Chris’s training was undertaken with a consulting engineering company as a Mechanical Services Design Engineer. On completion of his training, Chris had a period with a multi-discipline contracting company, before moving back into consultancy in 1975 with a leading consultant until 1985. During this time Chris worked on a wide range of Commercial, Pharmaceutical and Leisure projects.

In 1985 Chris joined Silcock Dawson as an Associate and became an Equity Partner in 1987. He is an integral part of our management team, with direct responsibility for the company's Quality Assurance, Human Resources and Management Operations. Chris is based at our Head Office in Princes Risborough and has extensive experience in all industry sectors. His particular expertise is in the Sport, Leisure, Education and Healthcare sectors.

Notable recent projects include; Team GB 2012 Diving Team Training Centre/Garons Swimming Pool for Southend on Sea Borough Council; Cicely Saunders Institute for Palliative Care for King’s College, London; Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospitals refurbishment projects in London and several Schools in the Priority Schools Building Programme.

Outside work, Chris has a keen interest in classic motor vehicles and is an avid supporter of Leeds United Football Club.
