John Silcock

John has over 30 years experience in Consultancy and the Construction Industry.

Originally trained in the Electricity Supply Industry as an Electrician and later as an Electrical Engineer, John worked in all aspects of the industry and was ultimately responsible for the commercial aspect of supplies into buildings (both at low and high voltage).

In 1974 John joined a major Building Services Engineering Consultant where he developed his knowledge of designing building services for a variety of buildings including Retail, Commercial and Industrial work.

In 1984, along with Eddie Dawson, John formed the Consultancy Practice of Silcock Dawson & Partners. Initially the main work was "fast-track" retail projects, where his project management skills were developed. As the Practice grew, John gained experience in designing the services within a vast range of projects.

John is based at our office in Princes Risborough. His particular areas of expertise include major infrastructure work, Data Centres/Internet Hotels, Commercial and Residential projects.

In 2005 the Practice underwent a major reform. John was elected as Managing Director and as such has focused on a sustainable growth, to better understand our Clients' requirements and to ensure that the Practice would become the employer of first choice.
