Nigel Purdy

Nigel started his career with a medium size Contractor working on the tools of the trade for a year, before opting to change direction by moving into the design office and returning to college. Within the same organization Nigel's keen interest in design rather than contracting led him to progressing within the Consultancy division, soon rising through the ranks to Engineer status, where his involvement was primarily with large PSA coal fired boiler installations, retail work and the Home Office small works division, dealing mainly with prison work.

In August of 1989 Nigel joined Silcock Dawson quickly rising through the ranks before becoming a Regional Partner in 1999. Nigel's career within the Company started within the retail sector, where his skills and enthusiasm for client development and design lead to his promotion to Account Manager for a major retailer, managing extensive roll-out programmes whilst specializing in energy conservation and free cooling initiatives.

Nigel is responsible for managing the Princes Risborough office and has expanded his skills into other market areas, specifically the Leisure sector and large Residential, Commercial and Industrial developments.

Nigel has also been instrumental in ensuring our IES software, which is a major aid in the design solutions required to comply with the new Building Regulations, has been successfully integrated into the Company design procedures.
