We were recently appointed in connection with the proposed new Wellbeing Centre for Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council.

The exciting proposals for a £12 million Health and Wellbeing Centre in the heart of Newcastle are taking shape.

The scheme is being developed by Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council on land in Brunswick Street adjacent to the existing Jubilee Pool.

NHS North Staffordshire is working in partnership with the borough council. Other partners include Sport England.

When the centre opens towards the end of 2011 it will make a significant contribution to improving the health and wellbeing of the borough's population.

Following consultation last year with a wide variety of people including sport and community groups, it has been decided that the new centre is to consist of the following modern leisure facilities;

a 25-metre, eight lane swimming pool

a teaching pool

health and fitness suite

sauna and steam facilities

dance studio

multi-purpose room

a club/coaching resource room

The building will certainly cater for people who want to stay fit and healthy as they enjoy a full range of high-class and quality activities.
